LG K30 with 5.3-inch HD display, Snapdragon 425 launched
LG has added a new budget smartphone to the fray dubbed K30 to its K-series. The device was initially spotted on the T-Mobile website earlier this week. The LG K30 will be available via T-Mobile for $225 (roughly Rs 15,000) in the US.
As for the specifications, the handset sports a 5.3-inch IPS HD display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. While most of the manufacturers are focusing on an 18:9 aspect ratio, the LG K30 comes with a 16:9 display aspect ratio. At the heart, the device runs a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 chipset paired with a 2GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage. The onboard storage is expandable up to 2TB. Unfortunately, the K30 runs on LG UX 6.0+, based on the old Android 7.1 Nougat OS.
Optics wise, the smartphone features a 13MP rear camera sensor along with a PDAF lens and an LED flash. The handset features a 5MP front shooter. Connectivity options include Bluetooth v4.2, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, and GPS/ A-GPS among others. It is fuelled by a 2880mAh battery, which comes with fast charging support.
