Samsung Galaxy S8 Active pops-up online
Samsung seems to be gearing up for another smartphone launch, and the evidence was recently found in a User Agent String. The device carrying the code number SM-G892A is believed to be the Galaxy S8 Active.
The User Agent String was first spotted by leakster Roland Quandt, but the listing only reveals the code number of the smartphone in question. The smartphone is expected to arrive sometime in summer. It’s still unclear whether the device will have the same innards as the S8, but it is expected to have an IP68 certification.
Usually, AT&T releases the Galaxy S Active in June, meaning the device this year’s model can arrive next month. The device can sport the same display as the Galaxy S8 alongside Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
The Galaxy S8 Active could run the Snapdragon 835 SoC paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. On the camera front, it will boast a 12MP rear camera, while there will be an 8MP front facing camera. The device will draw its power from a 3000mAh battery.
Regardless, more information about the upcoming Galaxy S8 Active will surely arrive soon. The company is also expected to start selling the refurbished Galaxy Note 7 smartphones starting June.
