Samsung Galaxy Note 6 to feature new Snapdragon chip, 256GB storage

The device that is set to make an official appearance in July.

Mumbai: After the success of the recently launched Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, rumours regarding the company’s next flagship phablet have already started surfacing rapidly.

The latest update from Chinese micro-blogging site Wiebo pointed out that Samsung’s Note 6 Phablet will not only feature a 5.8-inch curved display along with 6GB RAM, but also an updated chipset and 256GB storage.

Also, the device is rumored to come along with IP68 certification ensuring protection from dust and water.

Earlier, sources of Sammobile have pointed out that the company is currently testing two display types—flat and curved QHD display—for its next flagship Note series.

While the curved display will be of the same size, the other major leak is about the battery capacity of the Note 6. The device that is set to make an official appearance in July is speculated to have a 4,000mAh battery.

Other than that, the Note 6 is also predicted to equip improved camera software along with the camera hardware from the S7. In terms of performance, the phablet is rumoured to feature a large 6GB RAM.

Additionally, the prototypes that are currently being tested are said to be powered by the company’s proprietary Exynos 8890 and Snapdragon 823 chipsets. Moving on, the Note 6 is most likely to come with Android N OS, according to reports.

Based on the rumours, the Note 6 seems to be a major upgrade from the company’s earlier devices. However, the product is still in the development phase and Samsung has not made any concrete announcements yet.
