HMD Global confirms to update all Nokia-branded smartphones to Android Oreo
Nokia's marketing partner HMD Global has confirmed to roll out the latest version of Google’s operating system, Android Oreo, to all Nokia smartphones available in the market.
All of our smartphones will upgrade to Oreo, Nokia 3 included. No comments yet on timing so that I don't get into trouble 😊.

The confirmation on the upgrade came through HMD Global’s Chief Product Officer Juho Sarvikas who tweeted, “All of our smartphones will upgrade to Oreo, Nokia 3 included.” However, the company did not reveal the exact timeline of its plan to roll out the version. “No comments yet on timing so that I don't get into trouble,” he added.
“The smartphones will get the Android O update once the new release is available from Google for their OEM partners, the same way HMD Global is committed to the monthly Android security updates,” an HMD Global spokesperson had once said.
All four Android-powered Nokia handsets – Nokia 8, Nokia 6, Nokia 5 and Nokia 3 will receive the latest Android 8.0 Oreo.
As of now, the updated Android version has begun rolling to Google’s own devices – Pixel and Nexus.
