Samsung Galaxy S8+ with 6GB of RAM will cost over $1,000: Report
Samsung unveiled their new Galaxy S8 and S8+ at an Unpacked event in New York last month, the new flagship device is available in Midnight Black, Orchid Gray, Arctic Silver, Coral Blue and Maple Gold colours and comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage as standard.
But what about the China only S8+ Plus variant with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage that’s been heavily rumoured on Weibo? Well a new report shows that the new Galaxy S8+ with 6GB RAM will cost KRW 1,155,000, which is the equivalent of $1,030 or RS 66,900.
To soften the heavy price tag, Samsung have unveiled a pre-order offer 6GB variant that includes a free Samsung DeX station which otherwise costs 160,000 won ($142 or 9,270 INR).
Packed with cutting edge features the S8 will come equipped with Iris recognition technology, which many will remember from the now defunct Samsung Galaxy Note 7. As the name suggests, the biometric recognition scans your iris to unlock the phone, verify your Samsung account, and can be used for payments.
