Lenovo launches Moto Z, Moto Z Play phones in India
Lenovo-owned Motorola on October 4 launched Moto Z and Moto Z Play smartphones in India. In September 2016, the company unveiled its latest smartphone flagship at the IFA 2016 in Berlin.
Moto Z features a 5.5-inch QHD display with a resolution of 1440x2560pixel resolution, powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM. The smartphone offers a 64GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 2TB via a microSD card. It sports a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. In terms of connectivity, the device sports 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. Moto Z is fuelled by a 2600mAh battery. Like Apple’s iPhone 7, the handsets will not sport the 3.5mm headphone jack, instead the company will provide customers with a 3.5mm-to-USB-Type-C adaptor.
On the other hand, Moto Z Play will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. In terms of camera, the device will sport a 16MP rear sensor, while the front camera will sport a 5MP sensor. The device will offer 32GB of internal storage option, expandable up to 2TB via microSD card. Moto Z Play is fuelled by a 3510mAh battery. Connectivity option on the Moto Z Play includes USB Type-C and a 3.5mm port.
Both smartphones will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
The Moto Z will be available at a price of Rs 39,999, while the Moto Z Play has been priced at Rs 24,999.
