Will the iPhone 8 record 60 fps 4K videos from both camera?

HomePod firmware leaks indicate the 2017 iPhone to record 4K videos at 60 fps from the both the front and rear cameras.

These days, the Internet is awash with leaks of the upcoming iPhone 8. We have done several reports of the same — some describing a bezel-less display and others talking about the possibility of a Vivo-like under-display Touch ID. However, as always, leaks tend to get stronger as the launch approaches. Someone found a complete description of the iPhone 8 in the HomePod firmware recently and a new leak has come out of the same firmware.

A report from iHelp BR states the discovery of camera details on the upcoming iPhone. The HomePod firmware’s coding states that both the front as well as the rear camera will be able to shoot videos in 4K resolution at 60 fps. That will be a major boost to the front camera quality as the current iPhones only record videos from the front camera at 1080p resolution.

The new iPhone’s camera will be using the HEVC technology, which has been implemented on iOS 11 for the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. However, these iPhones can only record 4K videos at 30 fps from the rear camera. Apple has been always very particular about the camera on every iPhone and the upcoming iPhone 8’s camera will also strive to be the best one in the market. The iPhone 8 is expected to launch in September like all other iPhone announcements in the past.
