Next Nexus could include gesture-enabled fingerprint sensors

The latest leaked information suggests Google could introduce a new gesture to open the notification shade via fingerprint sensors.

The next two Nexus smartphones namely, Marlin and Sailfish, are expected to debut at the same time as Android 7.0 Nougat. The latest leak suggests the Nexus smartphones might offer the users the ability to enter their phones through gesture-enabled fingerprint sensors.

These features have been seen before in Huawei and Honor devices, however; it is certainly a new move made by Google for its products. Users will simply be required to swipe the scanner down and the notifications will descend by themselves.

Apart from that, the Home button has also been redesigned. It is said to be in the shape of a flower and will consists of multiple dots that can animate and call Google Assistant as well. A new launcher that replaces the search bar on the home screen is another aspect to look forward to.

The phones are expected to come in color, electric blue among others.
