In today’s age, the mobile phone has become a quintessential part of everyone’s life, and even devices intend to built with a security focus are not immune to vulnerabilities.
However, in an analysis, Gal Beniamini, a security researcher has recommended Android users to opt for Samsung or Nexus devices.
Reported by Duo Labs, Gal demonstrated a series of vulnerabilities in the Android devices that didn’t receive May security patch. According to the report, 57 per cent of the Android devices haven’t received the May security update, putting many devices at risk.
However, of all the devices tested by Gal, Galaxy S6 improved significantly from 0 per cent patched (in January update) to 75 per cent patched (in May update). The Nexus series were also patched around 75 per cent, while the Galaxy S5 showcased 45 per cent improvement.
