Samsung to launch world's first foldable smartphone
Mumbai: Samsung has been working on the concept of a smatphone with a foldable display for a few years now. In 2013, Samsung exhibited for the first time to the world a flexible OLED display. An advertisement based on the concept was also released, which left all fans and techies in awe.
Since it’s been a while that anyone talked about the concept, everyone assumed Samsung had dropped the idea. However, if the rumours are to be believed, Samsung has come far ahead working on the concept and it is set to launch the flexible smartphone in late 2016 or early next year.
The insiders have spilled it that the smartphone will be available in two variants, one powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 620 chipset and the other with Snapdragon 820, both accompanied by 3GB of RAM. Both smartphones will have non-removable batteries and a microSD card slot for expandable storage option
Samsung, however, hasn't confirmed anything yet. Follow this space for more updates on the world's first foldable smartphone.
