Are WhatsApp blue ticks' still haunting you? Here's a trick to avoid it

Read your WhatsApp messages in full without sending back the blue tick devil to the sender.

WhatsApp’s blue tick feature is still a problem for many—read messages confirmation back to the sender. While people some are happy about the feature, others are freaking out.

WhatsApp sends back a read message confirmation to the reader by issuing blue double tick marks on the message. This feature had been implemented a long ago and many have had problems with the new feature. In fact, the feature is still a few too many and are thinking on how they can avoid this.

Well, if you don’t want your sender/friend to know that your message has been read, you can turn the feature off from your app’s settings. However, you will also lose out on receiving the blue ticks when you send a message to anyone.

The other method is to switch your phone to airplane mode and cut off any networking (Wi-Fi or data) and then read your WhatsApp messages. The app will not be able to send the blue tick back to the sender. Then before switching off the airplane mode, make sure you kill the WhatsApp application from the memory.

This seems to be time consuming and is not necessarily a sure-shot method to avoid the ‘blue tick’ devil.

Simply add another desktop to your launcher, if you don’t have a blank one. Add a WhatsApp widget in full screen mode on a blank desktop. You are all set. When you get a message, simply head on to the widget and check out all the messages in full length. You can scroll up/down, and read the entire messages one after the other.

Caution: Make sure you don’t click on any message, or else you would open up WhatsApp accidentally.

To prevent accidentally opening WhatsApp, we recommend you install an app lock utility and lock WhatsApp with a password or pattern.
