New Samsung mobile UI 'Experience 9.0' beta now available for testing

Samsung Experience 9.0 (previously known as TouchWiz) is the latest version of the operating system built on the Android Oreo.

Samsung Electronics has released the new version of their mobile user interface, Samsung Experience 9.0 beta, which offers select customers a chance to experience new features available through the Galaxy ecosystem.

“Samsung Experience is designed to provide Galaxy users with a consistent and seamless experience across all our mobile software, apps and services. This change is in recognition of the increasing suite of unique services we have developed for the Galaxy devices” said Samsung in a statement on their blog.

Starting from November 2, Galaxy S8 and S8+ users based in the US, UK and South Korea will have the opportunity to preview the software before its official release, with additional rounds of registrations to follow.

The beta period will allow Samsung to get feedback from its customers of their first impressions with regards to the beta’s performance and usability, in order to develop a more reliable, improved and optimised experience. The users in return get to be the first to use the new software features before everyone else does.

Customers who wish to become beta testers can apply using the Samsung+ app or Samsung Members app, subject to fulfilling certain requirements.

There is no word as to when, or if, the beta program will be opened up to the Indian users. However, we hope this will open up soon here.
