Xiaomi recently launched its Mi 5s and Mi 5s Plus smartphones, and there are news about another device in the offing. Rumours have been piling about the successor of Mi Note to be rolled out soon.
A new image of the smartphone has surfaced on the micro-blogging website Weibo revealing the rear panel of the smartphone. The image doesn’t reveal much about the smartphone but confirms that the smartphone will feature a dual camera setup.
Xiaomi’s latest Mi 5s Plus also comes with a dual camera setup placed one on top of the other, while the Mi Note 2’s dual camera will be placed in the corner just like the iPhone 7 Plus.
Previous leaks suggest that the Mi Note 2 will be powered by a Snapdragon 821 processor with 6GB of RAM. The display size is expected to be 5.5 or 5.7 inches with 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution.
The device will be equipped with a 16MP rear camera, while there is a 5MP front facing camera with 128GB of internal storage capacity. The company could also launch a 256GB variant. The device is expected to be fuelled by a 4000mAh battery.
There are reports that Xiaomi will be unveiling the smartphone this month. Users will have to wait for the company to make any official announcements about the device.
