Fake iPhone 11 hands-on video shows the lengths Android goes to copy Apple

This is our best look at the upcoming iPhone thus far.

The race for the hottest handset of the year is heating up with Samsung already teasing the launch of the Galaxy Note 10. Google has also previewed its Pixel 4 smartphone and a recent leak shows off the rear panel of the Huawei Mate 30 Pro. Amidst all these leaks, one brand manages to garner the most amount of attention and that’s Apple. The next generation iPhones will be unveiled sometime in September and hit shelves later on that month. While there have been leaks and rumours which all suggest how the handset will look, waiting for September to get our hands on it is still a quite a long time away. So, an unnamed Android smartphone with the externals of an iPhone 11 has surfaced; giving us the best look of the upcoming Apple upcoming handset in all its glory.

Every year, prior to an iPhone launch, we are first greeted with rumours and hat tips from industry insiders that have connections with Apple’s supply chain giving us a glimpse of what to expect. After which more details regarding the handsets surface such as leaked photos and physical mock-ups of the handsets. The last and final part, which we are at now is when Chinese smartphone manufacturers use leaked designs of the iPhone and make Android copy-cats of the same. These smartphones come with externals that look like iPhones but everything else on the inside is surely not.

The images that have been obtained by SlashLeaks suggest that the handset may look like an iPhone 11 but this is far from the truth. This is an unnamed Android smartphone that’s been designed to look like the iPhone 11. Make no mistake; this is a fully-functional smartphone and not a dummy unit. The only issue is that it may be dressed like an iPhone but runs on Android. Even though this handset is a fake, this gives us the first all-encompassing look of an iPhone 11 as it even has the exact dimensions as the upcoming Apple smartphone.

While we can guarantee you that it isn’t by any means an iPhone; even though the unnamed brand did all they could to make it look like one there are still some mistakes with it. Firstly, the handset’s camera module that houses the triple-rear lenses is finished in black. Rumours state that this module will be colour matched to the rear of the iPhone 11. In the past, Apple has always opted for a black camera module, but this year the brand is making some changes.

The other major mistake the Android manufacturer got wrong is the mute switch. Apple is rumoured to introduce an all-new mute switch on the upcoming Apple iPhone that will be rounded like its newest iPads.

The next iPhones are expected to be announced in September and expect a lot of leaks to arise before the device is officially unveiled.
