iPhone 8 might not launch this year, says report

New reports suggest that the iPhone 8 will not be launched in September this year.

Apple’s alleged tenth anniversary edition has been doing rounds for quite some time now. Many online reports have claimed that the device will come with a new OLED screen, new Touch ID and augmented reality features. Now there are reports that the device will not be launched in September this year.

Due to all these new additions to the device, there have been numerous production issues which can cause a delay in the launch of the iPhone 8. A note from Deutsche Bank analysts obtained by Business Insider suggests that the iPhone 8 may not be ready till as long as early 2018.

There not also cites suppliers suggesting that "key component shortages and technical challenges could delay the release of a high-end iPhone 8 device this fall."

The delay of the iPhone 8 has been reported multiple times in the recent past and almost everyone predicts that the company will release the phone before the holiday season. There is a possibility that Apple will launch the device in September, but won’t go on sale till April 2018, just like what the company did with the Apple Watch. We will have to wait for the company for an official statement, until then we request our readers to take this piece of information with a pinch of salt.
