ASUS Zenfone AR leaked ahead of launch
Qualcomm has accidentally revealed ASUS Tango-enabled smartphone, the ASUS Zenfone AR, on it blogpost.
The ASUS Zenfone AR is slated to be announced at the CES 2017 on January 4, however, the Qualcomm’s post, supposedly to be posted on Jan 4, revealed list of features to be sported by the device.
According to the details spotted in the post, ASUS Zenfone AR will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 821 chipset. The smartphone will be the first mobile device to be both Tango-enabled and Daydream-ready.
Tango is a set of sensors and computers vision software that supports smartphones augmented reality experience. On the other hand, Google’s platform Daydream will supports smartphones for high quality, mobile virtual reality.
Lenovo Phab 2 Pro was the first Tango-enable smartphone. Therefore, ASUS Zenfone AR will be the second smartphone to be Tango-enabled, but will be the first to support both Tango and Daydream platforms.
