The iPhone 11 lineup has started hitting shelves across the world and it is an exciting device as it comes with cameras that put every other iPhone to shame. In fact, the cameras are so good that they are regarded as one of the best smartphone cameras in the world even beating the likes of some Huawei and Samsung flagships. While upgrading to the iPhone 11 Pro would undoubtedly be a great investment, the news of Apple’s 200 iPhone 12 are beginning to trickle in and for those who haven’t yet purchased a new iPhone, you should stop and read this bit of information.
As per a post, world-renowned tipster and exceptional render artist Ben Geskin, the upcoming iPhone 12 has been revealed and its design is something Apple fans have been waiting for two years for. Apple is believed to kill the notch with the iPhone 12 and this is just the tip of the iceberg.
The other interesting tidbit is that Apple will achieve this design without killing Face ID or its TrueDepth sensor. Interestingly, Apple has done the impossible and managed to shrink it drastically so that it can be squeezed into the top bezel which is as large as the side and bottom bezels. Considering the number of sensors, Apple has done quite an incredible task if this leak is true.
As per a related report by Forbes, “Yes, iPhones do have thicker bezels than most premium rivals (except for one) but that’s going to be understandable in 2020 when no rival fits such cutting edge facial recognition (again except for one). Geskin says Apple will use this new design to increase the display in the iPhone 12 Pro Max to a massive 6.7-inches, but I suspect the phone’s footprint will be no bigger than the iPhone 11 Pro Max in hand.”
The question of durability arises and as an example, the iPhone 11 Pro is a pretty solid device. By adding all these sensors into the slim top bezel and still maintain its durability, Apple has a lot of work on its hands to ensure that it remains as sturdy.
Apart from this, the rumours of the iPhone 12 include new screen-sizes, ProMotion displays, a new form of Touch ID and 5G capabilities across the devices. Additionally, one iPhone may also be foldable.
2020 is certainly shaping up to be a great year for iPhones and Apple fans.
