Spectacular Apple iPhone 11 leak confirms induction cooker hob design

A detailed leak has previewed the upcoming Apple handset months ahead of its unveiling.

A new leak by SlashLeaks has shown off the 2019 Apple iPhone 11, 11 Max and 11R in all its glory. These leaked CAD renders show the form factor of the upcoming handsets and those hoping that Apple would not use the ugly camera hump on the rear will be left severely disappointed.

These CAD renders confirm a number of features that have been expected to arise with the new iPhones. Apple will push forward with the notch and it will be the largest to be found on a flagship smartphone this year. While rivals are going with pop-up cameras, punch-hole cutouts and even under display cameras; Apple appears to be stuck to its tried and tested notched design that houses the Face ID sensor.

The next feature that has been confirmed is the camera hump. A report by Forbes aptly points out that it looks like an induction cooker hob from Ikea than something from a brand which is widely considered one of the best designers in the world. This housing will feature lenses and sensors that are fitted together in a weird square hump that’s located at the top corner of the iPhone 11 series of handsets.

Because Apple aims to go slim with the overall design, the ugly hump easily stands out rather than coming with a design that’s trendy. The report states that the Apple iPhone 11 is already being associated with the #ugly design.

Lastly, the charging port at the bottom follows the same design trend used by Apple on previous iPhones. Previously, reports suggested that Apple would use a USB Type-C port at the bottom but if the renders are anything to go by, then at least for a generation more the iPhones will use a Lightning port.
