Vivo Z1i with 19:9 display, Snapdragon 636 launched

Vivo has launched a new Z1i smartphone in China. The Vivo Z1i seems an upgrade over the Z1 that was launched with a different chipset, more storage and better camera. The new handset comes with 90 per cent screen-to-body ratio and also includes Artificial Intelligence (AI) backed smart beauty features.

The Vivo Z1i flaunts a 6.26-inch full-HD+ IPS display with a 19:9 aspect ratio. At its heart, the device runs on an octa-core Snapdragon 636 chipset clocked at 1.8GHz, coupled with a 4GB of RAM and a 128GB of storage. It runs on Funtouch OS 4.0 based on Android 8.1 Oreo. In terms of optics, the Z1i sports a 13MP+2MP dual rear camera setup accompanied by an LED flash. On the front, there is a 16MP camera sensor with Face unlock support.

Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-FI 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The smartphone houses a rear fingerprint sensor. The device is backed by a 3260mAh battery. The Vivo Z1i is priced at CNY 1,898 (approximately Rs 19,600) and will go on sale in the country starting July 7.
