Vivo has unveiled the Vivo Y83 smartphone, under its Y series product portfolio. It features a 6.22-inch HD+ FullView Display 2.0 in a 19:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone also comes with a 2.5D curved glass screen and features a notched display similar to its earlier released Vivo V9.
On the specifications front, the Y83 is built on a MediaTek Helio P22 octa-core processor followed by 4GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage. It also features microSD expansion up to 256GB.
The Vivo Y83 is equipped with a 13MP rear camera with PDAF technology and an 8MP selfie camera that comes equipped with an AI Face Beauty feature which promises to provide quality images by detecting the subject’s gender, age, skin tone, skin texture and lighting environment.
The dual-SIM enabled Vivo Y83 runs on Android 8.0 Oreo-based FunTouch OS 4.0 out-of-the-box. The security features include face unlock, which the company calls it as Face Access and also fingerprint scanner on the rear. The Y83 is fuelled by a 3260mAh battery.
The Vivo Y83 features in Black and Gold colour variants and is priced at Rs 14,990.
