Leaked: Two more BlackBerry-branded smartphones coming your way

TCL may unveil successors to the DTEK 50 and DTEK 60 smartphones.

The MWC 2017 is about to conclude. The occasion was eventful for many reasons — be it Nokia’s unveiling of it’s iconic 3310 device or Samsung taking the stage by a storm by making the debut date of it’s Galaxy S8 smartphone official. BlackBerry too, made the headlines when they unveiled what they called the last phone designed and engineered in-house by the company — the BlackBerry KEYOne at one of the several events.

While the readers struggle to accept the fact that BlackBerry might be bidding the smartphone world goodbye, a new report suggests that TCL is rumoured to be working on two more BlackBerry-branded smartphones that will be unveiled later this year.

According to a CNET report, Nicolas Zibell of TCL Communication has said that the company plans to launch three BlackBerry smartphones this year. The report further adds that the speculated smartphones might be the successors to the DTEK 50 and DTEK 60 phones.

“The company is working on an all-touchscreen version, a spiritual successor to the DTEK 50 and DTEK 60 phones, which it also built for BlackBerry itself, according to a source familiar with the rollout plans. TCL will likely get rid of the DTEK branding, the source said,” read the report.

Another report published by Crackberry showcases alleged images of a new BB Merah Putih-BlacBerry branded device, which has reportedly been codenamed BBC100-1. The image showcases a touch-screen device with textured back along with BlackBerry logos present on both sides.

Last month, prolific leakster Roland Quandt of Winfuture.de posted the specifications that may come packed with the alleged BBC100-1. According to the information posted by him, the device is rumoured to pack Snapdragon 425 SoC clocked at 1.4GHz, 5.5-inch HD display, 4GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, 13MP and 8MP rear and front cameras and a 3000mAh battery.

None of the above given information has been confirmed by either TCL or BlackBerry yet.
