Nokia's speculated D1C Android smartphone may come in two variants

According to a report published by Nokia Power User, the company is working on two models of the D1C Android-powered smartphone.

Rumours regarding Nokia’s plans to launch a new Android-powered smartphone have been taking the rounds since quite some time. Several reports have suggested how the company CEO, Rajeev Suri will be giving a keynote at the upcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC) event that takes place early next year. The same reports have fuelled to the already prevailing rumours that he will be taking the wraps off from their speculated D1C device at the event.

Now another leak suggests that the speculated device will be coming in two variants. According to a report published by Nokia Power User, the company is working on two models of the D1C Android-powered smartphone. These two variants will be differing from each other in terms of RAM size, display size and the camera features.

If rumours are believed to be true, the cheaper D1C smartphone will feature a 5-inch full HD display and will offer 2GB RAM. The device will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 chipset and further offer an Andreno 505 GPU. The smartphone is expected to run on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box. On the camera front, the smartphone will sport a 13MP rear camera along with an 8MP front camera.

On the other hand, the higher range D1C variant will feature a 5.5-inch full HD display and will be powered by a 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 chipset coupled with an Adreno 505 GPU. The handset will run on Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box. On the camera front, the smartphone will sport a 16MP rear camera with an 8MP front camera.

The smartphones are currently being tested by the company. However, there is no official confirmation given by them as of yet.
