Apple releases iOS 11.1, watchOS 4.1 and more
Apple has rolled out the final version of its iOS 11.1 for its users. The new update has been in the beta testing with developers fro more than a month. The most significant addition to the latest update is the Unicode 10, which brings dozens of new emoji to the operating system.
Besides, the Apple keyboard can now generate multiple emoji options when typing keywords that support emoji. The new update also brings back the 3D Touch App switcher for certain iPhones.
Security wise, the iOS 11.1 brings a patch for the KRACK WiFi exploit that recently came into everyone’s attention. The update also brings numerous under-the-hood bug fixes and performance adjustments. The iOS 11.1 is a free to download over-the-air update.
Moreover, the company has also rolled out watchOS 4.1, which brings LTE-based Apple Music streaming to the Apple Watch Series 3. The new watchOS update also brings a new Beats 1 radio application, Unicode 10 and Wi-Fi toggle. The new update for the Apple Watch is free to download through the associated iPhone app.
