Samsung is planning to re-launch its highly awaited Galaxy Fold smartphone on September 6th according to news report, published by South Korean news agency Yonhap. It further says that 20,000-30,000 units are expected to be released and that the launch would only take place for South Korea right now.

The innovative, foldable phone was originally slated to launch in April this year however, due to technical mishaps discovered during media tech reviews, it was stalled. Samsung has maintained that it has not yet confirmed on a launch date though it was originally expected to launch the phone by mid or late September.

Fold’s launch is expected to make global news, with the expected launch date falling on the beginning of European tech exhibition IFA, it might further increase the buzz around it.

The smartphone-cum-tab is expected to retail at around Rs 1, 50,000 in India and shall don a triple camera set-up at the back with a 7nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 octa-core SoC, paired with 12GB of RAM and 512GB storage.  While Samsung will release the phone globally, there are no leads for any launch dates in other countries yet.
