This is how Samsung's Note 8's camera could perform like

Official samples posted on Samsung's Japanese website show the prowess of their dual camera setup.

Samsung’s Note 8 is on the horizon and leaks have suggested a dual-lens rear camera for the Korean giant’s massive phablet. A set of leaks has already shown us what the phone will look like and now, one of Samsung’s partner companies has possibly unveiled official image samples from the Note 8’s dual camera setup.

Samsung Electro-Mechanics — the company responsible for making the camera modules in all Samsung smartphones — has unveiled a set of images on its Japanese website to show the advancement of their latest dual camera module. Various images from a standard smartphone camera and their own dual camera unit have been analysed on various parameters and the results have turned out to be astonishing.

The most highlighted feature of the camera is its 3X optical zoom. The dual camera setup is set for providing higher optical zoom levels, which results in clear photos of the subject along with natural colours and contrasts.

There’s a new Perspective View that utilises the camera to take photos of the subject from three angles. Also, the camera shows skills in clicking night time photos. It takes three photos with varying exposures and combines them during post processing to get the best shot with perfect brightness and details. The camera also has a high dynamic range that highlights darker sections of the image for a balanced colour distribution. The background effect means to means to add some effects to the background and not just blurring it while the camera focuses on a particular subject.

It is still not known whether this camera unit will be on the Galaxy Note 8 or not. But the camera unit surely is a massive step towards the right direction and will be a major improvement in the world of the smartphone camera.
