In a recent blog, Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi has made an announcement regarding a 3-day activity schedule ahead of an event, where it is speculated to launch the Redmi 3S.
However, before the launch of the smartphone on August 3, the company has organised a ‘3-day’ activity for fans to give them a chance to win the device.
Starting Monday (August 1), the activities will go on till August 3, which will be comprised of one different act per day. On the first day, users have to play a design game on Mi.com.
On the second day, users will have to take part in the Mi Community forum and discuss three things about their existing Xiaomi smartphones.
On the last day, which is also the day of the launch, users just have follow live stream of the launch. The user who asks the most interesting questions to Xiaomi’s Global VP Hugo Barra and answers all his questions accurately will be entitled to an all new Redmi 3S.
Moving on to the device, the Redmi 3S sports a 5-inch display powered by Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz, with a 4100mAh battery.
The smartphone is available in two variants in China—one with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage at a price of $106 (approx. Rs 7,000) and the other with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage at a price of $136 (approx. Rs 9,000).
However, the company’s strategy for launching device in India will only unfold after the August 3 event.
