Lenovo Vibe K5 Note launches today; Ola to offer on-demand preview
Mumbai: Chinese consumer goods manufacturer Lenovo is all set to launch its latest offering Vibe K5 Note in India on Monday after launching the device earlier in China.
As per teasers released earlier by the company, the smartphone is expected to accompany 4GB RAM and a special feature called Secure Zone.
The phone will be launched exclusively on Flipkart and sales are expected to commence starting today. Additionally, the company will also offer an innovative new preview experience for consumers.
To make this offer possible, Flipkart has tied up with popular app-based taxi hailing service OLA. Customers can get on-demand first hand previews of the smartphone from the OLA app before buying it from Flipkart—something which has never been offered before.
However, the preview service will only be limited to customers who order an Ola Prime cab and the offer will be available across five cities—Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai and Pune.
In terms of specifications, the phone sports a 5.50-inch display with a resolution of 1080 pixels by 1920 pixels and is powered by 1.8GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 processor. While the China variant has only 2GB RAM, the Indian model is expected to pack 4GB.
The phone packs 16GB of internal storage and can be expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card. The Lenovo K5 Note packs a 13-MP primary camera on the rear and a 8-MP front shooter. The Lenovo K5 Note runs Android 5.1 and is powered by a 3500mAh non removable battery.
