Samsung launches the budget friendly Galaxy J4 in India

Samsung has quietly launched the Galaxy J4 in India at an attractive price point.

In what could come as good news for those looking to pick up a budget smartphone in India, Samsung has officially put the Galaxy J4 up for sale at a favorable price point.

According to a tweet by a reliable Mumbai retailer, Mahesh Telecom, the Samsung Galaxy J4 is now available in India for Rs 9,990.

The Samsung Galaxy J4 was announced a few days ago and it comes with specifications such as Android Oreo, 2GB RAM and 16GB of onboard storage.

As far as other specifications go, the Samsung Galaxy J4 is a Dual SIM handset with GSM, HSPA and LTE capabilities. It has a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display and a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. The J4 has an Exynos 7570 quad core CPU clocked at 1.4GHz and comes with a Mali-T720 MP2 GPU.

The Samsung Galaxy J4 comes with a dedicated microSD card slot that supports up to 256GB. Samsung have fitted a 13MP camera as the primary shooter here and the front facing camera is added here is 5MP with f/2.2. As far as the battery goes, there is a 3000mAh battery that can handle 20 hours of talktime on 3G.

Prior to the release of the Samsung Galaxy J4, Samsung unveiled a line-up of mid-tier handsets such as the Galaxy J6. The J6 features Samsung’s much loved Infinity Display and in our review we found that the phone showed off a good display, above average cameras, a polished UI experience and decent battery life.
