Google launched the second developer preview of Android O — the company’s latest operating system at its I/O event that concluded recently. While the firm hasn’t announced exactly when it will be made available to public; OnePlus has already confirmed that its OnePlus 3/3T smartphones will be receiving the Android O update.
OnePlus founder and CEO Pete Lau took to Twitter to make this announcement.
Android O is set to arrive with exciting new features like Fluid Experiences and a machine learning tool called Tensor Flow Lite along with Picture-in-Picture, Smart Text Selection, Auto-Fill and Notification Dots options. The third preview of Android O is expected to release in mid-June followed by the fourth preview in mid-July before the final version that will be rolled on in the third quarter of 2017.
OnePlus 3, at the time of its launch, was running on Android Marshmallow 6.0 OS following which, it received the Android Nougat 7.0 update. The smartphone packs a 5.5-inch full HD Optic AMOLED display, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor, 64GB ROM and 6GB RAM along with a 16MP rear and 8MP front snapper, while also housing a 3,000mAh battery. The OnePlus 3T smartphone packs similar specs, but instead carries Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 821 and houses a 3,400mAh battery instead....
