Samsung's next flagship leaked in press renders
Samsung will be launching its much anticipated smartphone, the Galaxy S8 at an event on March 29 in New York. The device has been doing rounds in the rumour mill for quite some time now, and thanks to the leaks and half baked reports.
Now, knows tipster Evan Blass has posted the press renders of Samsung’s forthcoming smartphone. The picture reveals the front panel of the device in full glory. The smartphone is expected to come in two base variants based on the display size. The bigger 6.2-inch display variant will be dubbed as the Galaxy S8+ while the smaller 5.8-inch variant will be called the Galaxy S8.
The press render confirms that the smartphone will feature a dual curved edge display with no bezels on the sides. The device doesn’t have a home button and the volume rockers can be seen on the left. Samsung is also expected to incorporate a dedicated button for its new artificial intelligence assistant called Bixby.
The smartphone is tipped to be IP68 dust and water resistant and will support wireless charging. It will have iris scanner for added security. On the photography front, the device will boast a 12MP rear camera; while there will be an 8MP front facing camera. It will be powered by a Snapdragon 835 processor along with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage.
The company also released a teaser of the smartphone at MWC in Barcelona. The teaser video didn’t reveal much about the smartphone, but the company confirmed the upcoming smartphone will be bundled with AKG earphones from Harman International.
