From Talent to Technology, Why Redwood Chose Hyderabad
Redwood Software on why Hyderabad is central to its global AI ambitions and the future of enterprise automation

Kevin Greene, Chief Executive Officer, Redwood Software.
On the occasion of inaugurating its India Technology Center in Hyderabad, DC Conversations spoke to Kevin Greene, Chief Executive Officer, Redwood Software, and Rajkumar Paulraj, Vice President (Engineering) and India Country Head, Redwood Software. They shared how the city fits into Redwood’s global AI roadmap, talent strategy and the next phase of enterprise automation.
How will Hyderabad shape Redwood’s global AI innovation compared to other hubs?
We do not think about it as one location versus another. We operate as one team across the globe. Different offices come together depending on where the right talent is. That said, this is our largest office by far. Every function has a presence here, from product and R&D to finance, sales operations, data analytics, infosec and marketing. Because of that, everything in the company will be touched in some way by this team. It also creates opportunities for employees to work across projects and roles. Everyone will have to become AI first, especially in product and R&D, where we are embedding more AI capabilities. Ranger AI is a key focus, and over time many of our products will move to a single platform.
What makes Hyderabad uniquely suited for advanced agentic orchestration at scale?
Hyderabad has a very high density of hyperscaler talent and a strong base of enterprise software companies. There is also a solid ecosystem of universities and institutions that produce AI-ready talent. This mix gives us both experienced professionals and fresh talent. The city is deeply focused on technology. You are constantly surrounded by people working on AI. That kind of environment creates breakthroughs because innovation comes from density. It is similar to what you see in Silicon Valley.
Rajkumar Paulraj, Vice President (Engineering) and India Country Head, Redwood Software.
With India becoming a global tech powerhouse, how do you see it influencing Redwood’s long-term product strategy?
Culture plays a big role. There is a strong team-first mindset and a deep understanding of enterprise systems and business processes. Many professionals here have worked on large ERP and IT systems, and that experience directly shapes our roadmap. There is also the ability to hire at scale within a meaningful timeline. The ecosystem here supports innovation and company building. We were able to set up operations quickly with very little friction, which allowed us to focus on product and innovation. Our ability to recruit quickly will directly impact how fast we bring new releases, especially around Ranger AI.
What specific AI capabilities will the Hyderabad centre prioritise?
Agentic AI will be central. It is a new way of thinking about user experience and automation. It acts as a layer that connects different enterprise systems. By combining this with our existing integrations, we can unlock significant value for enterprise operations.
We are already bringing assistants and copilots into our products. Now enterprises are moving towards building agents. These agents will work across hundreds of applications, including systems like SAP. The challenge is to orchestrate them reliably because these are mission critical processes where accuracy matters. Our focus will be on automating computer-driven tasks across backend systems rather than human tasks.
How do you plan to compete for top engineering talent in Hyderabad’s competitive ecosystem?
A: People want to be part of a place where they feel valued and challenged. It starts with having a clear vision. For us, that is about unleashing human potential through automation. We focus strongly on our values and build a culture around them. We hire and promote based on these values. Ultimately, enterprise software is a people business. Our goal is to bring in the best talent that believes in a team-first approach.
We are already a successful product company and a market leader. At the same time, we are offering an opportunity to work on agentic AI in the orchestration space, which is a major shift in enterprise software. That combination of impact and learning makes it an attractive place to work.
As automation evolves, which industries will benefit most from Redwood’s autonomous enterprise vision?
Our customer base reflects the broader global economy. We work across major ERP systems like SAP, which power a large part of global GDP. Industries such as manufacturing, retail, finance and insurance will all benefit. Many large enterprises are early adopters of agentic AI and are already working with us to co-develop solutions. That collaboration is where a lot of innovation happens. Having customers close to our teams, even physically nearby, allows us to get real-time feedback and build better products.
