HCLTech Reports Progress in FY26 Against its Sustainability Goals

It has also reduced its total emissions footprint (Scope 1, 2 and 3) by 27.7% since FY20.
HCLTech reported significant progress in FY26 against its sustainability goals and commitment to becoming net zero by 2040.
The company claimed that it has achieved a 55.84% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions from its FY20 baseline, surpassing its target of a 50% reduction by 2030 four years ahead of schedule. It has also reduced its total emissions footprint (Scope 1, 2 and 3) by 27.7% since FY20.
Since FY20, the company has reduced energy consumption from conventional sources by 31%. Renewable energy now accounts for 49.79% of HCLTech’s total energy consumption and 89.65% of energy used in its data centers, reflecting sustained decarbonization efforts across the company’s operations and value chain.
HCLTech also claimed that it invested 2.08% of revenue in employee well-being in FY26. Women represented over 50% of the Board and 29.6% of the workforce. More than 90% of employees in nearshore facilities were hired locally, with women comprising 66% of that workforce. The number of employees with disabilities increased by 27.4%, it said.
The company also said that it increased the outlay of the HCLTech Grant in India by 45% in FY26. It has disbursed $3 million in grants to non-profit organizations in the Americas in the past three years for innovative climate action projects. It has planted over 3.5 million saplings, greened 74,000 acres of land and harvested more than 155 billion liters of water to date.
