Driving Agentic Scale: adesso Expands Operations to Pune and Chennai

European IT services and software development provider adesso has strengthened its presence in India with the inauguration of new offices in Chennai and Pune, expanding its operations across two of the country’s key technology hubs and reinforcing its focus on AI, software engineering and global enterprise delivery.

The Chennai office was inaugurated on August 3, followed by the inauguration of the Pune office on August 5. The two new locations form part of adesso’s Agentic Scale initiative, through which the company aims to support its global enterprise clients as they rethink where and how critical digital capabilities, intelligent automation and software engineering are built.

The expansion comes at a time when global technology delivery models are undergoing a significant shift. European organisations are increasingly moving away from traditional offshore models focused primarily on cost reduction and towards strategic Global Capability Centers (GCCs). These centres are expected to play a broader role in co-innovation, bi-modal delivery and the integration of Agentic AI across the software engineering lifecycle.

For adesso, the expansion across Pune and Chennai is aimed at strengthening its ability to serve this changing enterprise technology landscape from India.

The company is combining Pune’s deep product engineering talent with Chennai’s strengths in enterprise data, artificial intelligence and cloud modernisation. Along with its established centre in Kochi, the expanded footprint gives adesso India a pan-India talent pipeline focused on what the company describes as "agentic talent".

These teams are intended to work closely with European corporate headquarters and help bridge operational gaps while supporting the development and delivery of digital capabilities for international enterprise clients.

The expansion also comes as enterprises look to integrate artificial intelligence more deeply into their technology development processes. To scale its global delivery capabilities, adesso India is leveraging proprietary AI-driven development frameworks and autonomous software agents to industrialise delivery.

While AI and autonomous systems are being used to accelerate development and delivery, human expertise remains central to strategy, governance and quality assurance. The company’s approach is powered by its adScaile methodology and SaGE, or SmartShore AI-Powered GCC/Global Engine, framework.

Through these frameworks, adesso aims to accelerate setup and delivery through rapid micro-cycles while maintaining enterprise-grade security, platform independence and strict data governance.

The company already has an operating example of this delivery model in Chennai. Since 2025, adesso has been handling end-to-end operations for the Exasol Tech Hub. Within five months of its launch, capacity at the hub doubled to support the German analytics provider’s expanding engineering requirements.

The experience in Chennai forms part of the wider approach adesso is now expanding through its presence in Pune and Chennai. The company plans to use the new offices as centres of excellence, bringing together technology capabilities, specialised talent and innovation ecosystems to support its global operations.

For adesso India, the expansion also represents an investment in the country’s technology talent and its role in the company’s wider global delivery network.
