YouTube gets a big makeover
YouTube is getting the biggest aesthetic makeover since the time of its launch. In the latest update, Google has changed the service’s logo, shifting the emphasis from the word “Tube” in the anachronisms onto a familiar red colour play button.
Google says the new logo is a cleaned up version of YouTube wordmark and icon, “creating a more flexible design that works better across a variety of devices, even on the tiniest screens.”
Additionally, the app is getting a bunch of features too.
The service has made the header white and moved the navigation button of the app to the bottom. A new Library and Account Tabs has also been added for an easy access to what you are looking for.
Google is also working on adding playback controls that would include gestures, the ability to speed up and slow down the playback of a video and a new player which will change its shape to match the video format being viewed.
