New Windows 10 update killed Google, Gmail
Microsoft recently rolled out the Windows 10 build 15019, and it brings along a lot of notable issues, including a bug that makes it impossible for users to access few Google services, including Gmail.
Although the bug only affects Microsoft Edge browser, it has still managed to cause inconvenience to many users. Dona Sarkar, head of the Windows Insider program, says that the team is already aware of the bug and working on a fix as we speak. Most likely, this fix will be implemented in the next build possibly coming later this week.
“Some Windows Insiders may have had trouble connecting to certain Google sites due to an implementation of a new security model being rolled out to further enhance user security. The team is working on a resolution. In the meantime, users can access these sites from an InPrivate tab,” she said.
Users experiencing issues while connecting to Google, Google Maps, Gmail or any other Google service, the easiest way is to switch to an InPrivate tab or switch the browser.
The build 15019 also has other issues, including one that breaks down extensions. However, Microsoft has promised a fix with the next build. Lastly, Microsoft Edge F12 tools also might not function properly and could crash or fail to accept inputs. The next build is expected to be more stable and come with fixes for all the issues.
