Google recently updated Google Apps for Work. It will now be called G Suite provide users with a range of varied apps including Gmail, Docs, Drive, Calendar, Hangouts and more.
Why the name G Suite?
According to a source from Google, the name G Suite reflects their mission to help people work and together better.
The company wanted to make it clear to potential enterprise users that this is a unified collection of tools and not simply a set of individual offerings, said Google’s director of product management Ryan Tabone said to TechCrunch.
Google has been attempting at indulging in growing use of machine intelligence in G Suite’s products since quite some time. For instance, their instant translation and photo recognition features that they integrated in G Suite’s products.
