Snapdragon 835 SoC will come 'into focus' at CES 2017: Qualcomm
Qualcomm on December 28 hinted to reveal more information about the recently unveiled Snapdragon 835 processor at the upcoming CES 2017 to be held in Las Vegas in January.
In a twitter post, the chipset maker Qualcomm said that its Snapdragon 835 processor will come into focus at CES 2017.
Qualcomm on November 17 unveiled its next-generation smartphone processor Snapdragon 835 with its latest Quick Charge 4.0 technology.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset is based on a Samsung built 10nm FinFET process, replacing the largely used Snapdragon 820/821 mobile processor based on a 14nm process.
In comparison to Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 technology, the Quick Charge 4.0 is said to provide faster charging ability.It is claimed to be 20 per cent faster and 30 per cent more efficient than Quick Charge 3.0. The Quick Charge 4.0 is also promised to offer greater capability with various devices, cable and charges, with better safety features too. The latest Quick Charge 4.0 technology is complaint with USB Type-C protocol, including USB Power Delivery and Google’s new specification for Type-C charging.
