MediaTek Helio P35 Deca-Core processor in works

The Helio P35 will be based on TSMC's 10nm FinFET manufacturing process.

MediaTek, a Taiwan fables semiconductor company, is preparing to launch its next high-end chipset named Helio P35 to power upcoming smartphones.

The Helio P35 will be based on TSMC’s 10nm FinFET manufacturing process. The P35 will be a deca-core SoC which will feature two A73 cores at 2.2GHz and will support up to 10GB RAM and Cat 10 LTE which is said to offer download speed of up to 450Mbps.

The Helio P35 Chipset will also come with Mali G71 GPU, and support UFS2.1, boasting speed up to 800Mbps. Like Snapdragon SoC’s Quick Charge feature, MediaTek Helio P35 will be equipped with Pump Express 3.0, which is claimed to boast charge rate of 0 to 70 per cent in 20 minutes.

Earlier this month, Qualcomm announced its latest Snapdragon 835 chipset in collaboration with Samsung. The Snapdragon 835 chipset is based on Samsung built 10nm FinFET process and features Qualcomm’s latest Quick Charge 4.0 technology.

MediaTek is expected to release Helio P35 next year in the third-quarter.
