HYDERABAD: More than 31,000 sellers from Telangana and 5,100 from Andhra Pradesh are putting their products on sale during Amazon India’s ‘Great Indian Festival’, starting from October 3.

Amazon said on Wednesday that its commitment to support small and medium businesses continues on its Great Indian Festival platform, which is dedicated to lakhs of small sellers, including over 75,000 local shops from 450 cities.

This year, Amazon customers can shop for products from businesses based in Hyderabad, Warangal, Khammam, Nalgonda, Gadwal, Mahaboobnagar, Visakhapatnam, and Tirupati, from among several towns and cities in the two Telugu states. They will also have a wide range to choose from the over 8.5 lakh dealers from across India. Prime members, the company said, can enjoy early access to the festival.

Customers can also choose from any languages for their shopping purposes, including English, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Bengali and Marathi. For those who prefer to use Alexa-powered voice commands, shopping can be done using Hindi and English, the company said.

According to Sumit Sahay, director, selling partner services at Amazon India, they aim to help help sellers to bounce back from the traumatic Covid-19 phase. He said that sellers from all over, including from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, can take advantage of the festival and reach out to millions of customers.

“As for our customers, we endeavour to help them find everything that they need during the festive season and deliver them safely,” he said.

In addition to unique art and craft products from weavers and artisans from across the country, the Great Indian Festival will have more than 1,000 product launches from top Indian and international brands.
