Wikipedia's app redesigned; now offers read on the go content
Wikipedia added the new ‘Explore’ feed to the Wikipedia app for iOS earlier this year. The same feature was updated for android devices as well. The team has now redesigned the app again to deliver special, curated content that you can read on the go.
The update comes with the option of swiping away any uninteresting content a user may find. You can simply scroll down to browse through older content. The app also allows you to save content to your personal reading list that can be accessed offline. Another cool addition is the preview option that is made available. Things get much easier with the addition of voice support and in-built sharing as well.
Following given are some of the other features:
- Links to similar Wikipedia articles are provided.
- The top five most read articles of the day are also shared with the user.
- Feature articles on Wikipedia selected by editors, themselves.
- A prominent search bar at the top of the feed.
You can get the app on the Google Play Store.
