Google turns off auto log in for chrome

This feature was made available by Google through a Chrome69 update.

Hyderabad: Internet search giant and technology major Google has retracted a feature that automatically logs in users into its browser Chrome.

This feature was made available by Google through a Chrome69 update. The next update Chrome70 will make this feature optional.

Google clarified that this change to sign-in does not mean Chrome sync gets turned on. “We want to be clear that this change to sign-in does not mean Chrome sync gets turned on. Users who want data like their browsing history, passwords, and bookmarks available on other devices must take additional action, such as turning on sync,” the search giant said in a statement.

The next update will be made available in mid-October wherein the users can make it optional to sign into Chrome, when they log on to Gmail, Youtube, Google Search among others.
