Amazon to add to its chain of bookstores
According to a report in Financial Times, Amazon has confirmed their plans to launch a bookstore in Chicago. The store is said to be joining the previously mentioned locations of San Diego and Portland.
While, the first bookstore in Seattle features book displays that focus on presenting books that have been highly rated on Amazon’s online bookstore. This store, however, won’t be focused on print, alone. It will act as a marketing opportunity for Amazon’s other publishing ventures as well. The store will also contain displays that allow visitors to test out and purchase the company’s line of Kindle e-book readers.
No further details regarding what the store will look have been revealed, yet. However, the store is set to debut as early as next year.
