HOW DO THEY MAKE IT: Fire hoses
Each day we bring you videos from around the Internet to show you how they make stuff.
Fire fighting techniques have changed drastically over a period of time with the use of modern tools. Back in the 16th century, people used to pass water buckets hand-to-hand, or use fire hoses made of leather. These leather hoses were not only heavy, but also prone to cracks due to dryness and pressure.
On the other hand, modern fire fighters have access to lightweight cotton fire hoses that are lined with rubber to keep the cotton dry and flexible. Today’s make will demonstrate how these fire hoses are made.
