Sundar Pichai's Quora account get hacked
It was early this month when Mark Zuckerberg was a victim of a hack, by a group of hackers, called OurMine. Now the same group of hackers claimed that they have hacked into an account held by Google's CEO, Sundar Pichai.
The group of hackers managed to gain access into Sundar Pichai’s Quora account, last night, which also enabled them to post tweets on his Twitter handle.
Though, Pichai’s both Quora and Twitter accounts have been restored back to normal, the Next Web managed to obtain a screenshot, confirming the breach.
In a statement to The Next Web, the hackers said that they have actually exploited a vulnerability in Quora’s platform, which Quora hasn’t yet fixed.
The mysterious group OurMine, which claims to be a security firm, also said that they mean no harm and never change people’s password. All they are doing is “testing” people’s security, advising targets to contact them in order to “upgrade it.”
Apart from Zuckerberg and Pichai, OurMine had also targeted several other accounts, which include Twitter co-founder Evan Williams, Spotify's CEO Daniel Ek as well as musicians Deadmau5 and David Guetta.
