Own a Smart TV? Check out a website for free TV, movies
With the influx of smart TVs, smartphones and most importantly high internet data plans, video consumption has reached an all-time high. We all want movies and TV shows at the click of a button, whenever and wherever we are. To bridge this void, we have apps such as Netflix, Hotstar, Sony Liv and Amazon Prime that satisfy all our movie and TV show needs. The biggest catch with these services is that they all come with fees, either monthly or annually.
What if we told you that you could get a whole host of movies and TV shows just at the snap of your fingers, without shelling out a single rupee!
That’s right, there is a website (app on Google Play) called Tubi.tv that allows you to stream movies and TV shows for absolutely free. The only catch is that it has advertisements. This is definitely not a deal breaker as we get a whole host of content.
To access this content all one needs to do is fill out a short registration, verify your email address and you are good to go.
If you do not know what you would like to watch, the website lists a whole host of categories ranging from Featured to Most Popular, as well as different genres. This makes it easier to select some content to binge watch.
The website does not feature the latest movies or TV shows, however, there are some favourites such as Gone in 60 Seconds, The Kill Hole and Non-Transferrable.
Probably the only issue we noted is that it lacks local content for India. Maybe in the future, if this website’s popularity increases, we could see a ton of Indian movies and TV shows too.
The website describes itself as, “You can find award-winning films and TV shows that span more than 40 genres from comedy, drama, family & kids, classics and horror, to niche favourites such as Korean dramas, anime and British TV. The videos have commercials, so you get everything for free legally and don’t have to spend a single cent.”
This website is certainly great for those wanting to watch movies without parting with any money and we wished we had come across this website way before now.
