Amazon India won't refund damaged items, implements new policy
Amazon India has made changes to their shopping policy online. This new change will probably see a few furious customers and also marginal drop in sales for the online shopping giant. Amazon now states that they will no longer refund an amount for damaged items.
Amazon earlier used to refund their customers if they received goods that are damaged. However, their new policy states that they will no longer refund the goods, but will replace it instead. Earlier in February, Amazon changed their policy to mention that they will not refund the amount on smartphones that are received in damaged conditions. They will only replace the handset with a fresh new piece. But now, since their new policy update effective from May 11, 2016, the shopping website will no longer give refund for tablets, laptops, desktops, monitors, cameras and camera lenses too. They will only be eligible for replacement.
The new policy also sees a new deadline for reporting damaged items. This ranges between 10 – 30 days. For complete information, refer to Amazon’s return policy.
