Seven-year-old bags first job at a tech company
Remember the seven-year-old school girl who wrote a touching letter to Google, asking for a job? She is making the headlines again. Chloe Bridgewater has apparently bagged first job as a product tester along with her five-year-old sister Hollie at a tech company called Kano. Kano makes DIY computer kits for children. The two will test out all its new devices before they hit the market.
“They will be sent every new Kano product before it comes to market, with the task of building the kits, working through the software and putting our whole product range through its paces,” Kano said.
“Every quarter, they will be on a video call with Luke Abrams our VP Product where they will share their experiences, and insights on how to make our products even better,” the company added.
The Hereford-based Chloe Bridgewater wrote a letter to Google CEO Sundar Pichai earlier this year, applying for a job at the company after seeing images of Google offices filled with comfortable bean-bags, go-karts and slides.
The original letter was shared with Matt Weinberger of Business Insider by Chloe's father Andy Bridgewater.
