OnePlus rolls out OxygenOS update, Full-HD recording at 60fps added
OnePlus, after the launch of the OnePlus 3T, has started rolling out updates for the OnePlus 3. It rolled out a new incremental OxygenOS update for the OnePlus 3. This is the 3.2.8 update which brings full-HD (1080p) at 60fps video recording and more.
Other features include emergency calling for India, in-line with the Government of India’s order to add a panic button. After updating, the OnePlus 3 users in India will have to triple press power button to trigger an emergency call.
The update also encompasses optimisation of Snapchat, with fixes for video calling and scrolling lags, as well as improved system stability and general bug fixes. One Plus states the OxygenOS update will be gradually rolling out to users. “The OTA will reach a small percentage of users today, and we’ll begin a broader rollout in a few days,” OnePlus said in a forum post.
The incremental updates are a manner of making sure the OnePlus users do not feel left out without the latest Android Nougat. According to a report by The Engadget, the Chinese company is planning to bring the “beta” community build of Android 7.0 Nougat for the OnePlus 3 this month. Earlier this year, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau had teased Android N update for the smartphone with a short clip on Twitter that showed the “N” logo one the screen of the OnePlus 3 smartphone.
