iPhones with flexible screens could hit markets by 2020

US based Apple is reportedly keen on making a deal with LG for their flexible screens.

LG is soon going to start mass producing their flexible OLED screens this year in Korea. US based Apple is reportedly keen on making a deal with LG for the same.

While LG has been used for screens by Apple before, the brand has never been their go-to choice for their primary products, which has usually been reserved for Korea based Samsung. Both companies reaching an agreement would mean Apple could reduce its reliability on Samsung for their screens.

Samsung currently leads the market for their screens and the deal could hit their figures hard.

LG’s flexible panels aren’t designed to perfection yet but if the issues are solved in time, production might begin in the third quarter of the year. This would give the company enough time to rectify issues and meet apple standards by the time Apple readies their next flagship for 2020.
