Snapchat has introduced a location sharing feature called Snap Map on its platform. The feature was rolled out on June 21, allowing users to share current location with their snap friends from within the app.

The features allow users to switch between two modes. One, where users choose to share their location on the map with all/selected friends and another, “Ghost Mode”, where they choose not to share their location with anyone at all.

The Snap Map also includes “Actionmojis,” a new type of Bitmoji, which Snapchat creates analysing the data on a users’ location, time of day, speed of travel and more. The new Bitmoji will appear only when a user choose to share their location, and will disappear when user remains offline for several hours.

“We have built a whole new way to explore the world! See what is happening, find your friends and get inspired to go on an adventure!,” said Snapchat in its blog.
